Hilton Head Vacation- FINALLY!

Remember me? Yeah, I still scrapbook. Here is 20 pages to prove it! We went on vacation to Hilton Head Beach back in August, so I made it my goal to have it scrapbooked by the end of September.... then the goal was by the end of October... than FINALLY I reached the goal of having it finished before Thanksgiving! Considering I never scrapbooked last years vacation completely, this is a good thing!

So think nice warm thoughts...wish I was one of those families that hit the beach during the holidays:).

Christine Lewis Photography Scrapbooked- Jonah's Smash Cake Pics

I love this picture! Jonah happily waiting for cake.

I had no idea Jonah was capable of eating an entire cake and making such a huge mess! He was happy and hilarious eating his little heart out. Christine Lewis once again outdid herself, though sugar high Jonah was all smiles. She did have some trouble staying still when laughing since he was sucking icing off his toes! He did reach a sugar comma stage there at the end where he just stared into space. The hardest part for me was cleaning him and the highchair in the middle of the park after he was done. We also gave several runners a good laugh. For some reason, a baby smashing a cake in the middle of the path is not something you see every day:).

Jonah's Baby Book:7, 10, and 11 months old

Yay! I've scrapbooked all the months of Jonah's first year now. All that is left is his birthday! I tried using different styles from traditional to modern, though there is always a lot of blue:).

7 months old scrapbook pages are more traditional/American style. Whenever there is red in the picture, I end up using patriotic kits. The main kits I used for this are:
Boyish Adventures by Ramona the Pest (yes, that is her site name)
Let Freedom Ring by Amy Stoffell
Adventures for Boys (Alpha)- Jennys Scrap Place

I already scrapbooked 8 and 9 months since Christine Lewis took professional pictures of him. Check out previous posts for those. I actually didn't use much blue in those pages. :)

10 months old: I found this kit called "Soooo Fresh" that just shouted "Jonah and sunshine." It has much more of a modern/fresh and bright feel to it. The kit is from Shabby Pickle (I just love that name).

11 months old: The pictures I took were purposefully blue and with Blues Clues, to make the invite for Jonah's "Red, White, and Blue's Clues" birthday party. The style is once again Americana, but not as traditional. More "kiddie" I guess.

Okay, maybe they are pretty traditional.

Christine Lewis Photography Scrapbooked- My Cheerios Baby

Oh yeah! Scrapbooking! Took a 3 month break, mainly because the last three months have been crazy busy. Especially since the little guy in these pictures is now 1 years old and walking! Gee I have a lot of scrapbooking to catch up.

The wonderful Christine Lewis took these pictures of Jonah at 9 months old in a bowl of Cheerios. If you want a happy baby picture, just put him in a bowl of Cheerios! I had the hardest time cropping these pictures for scrapping because they were each so perfectly happy on their own. I think this kit made for an unintented sophisticated baby look, but I like the result.

Christine Lewis Photography Scrapbooked- My Little Men

This is by far, my favorite photoshoot we have done with the amazing Christine Lewis. She is awesome. This is for Tobin turning three, Jonah being 8 months, and to cover my living room walls in portraits that compliment the color scheme of red and brown. All these were accomplished and now I just have to decide what my favorite portraits are. This is obviously difficult for me considering I made 12 pages instead of my usual 7. Decisions, decisions.
It is also the most difficult group of scrapbook pages I've done. Mainly because I couldn't find templates for the ideas I had in my head, and also the vintage/little boy/bricks/sock monkey/industrial look was very different from my usual. There just isn't one kit out there with all those ideas put together! Because of this, I used bits and pieces from a lot of kits, and even made my first scrapbook elements for the sock monkey stuff. I was bad and didn't keep a running list of kits I was using, mainly because I kept changing my mind, but there are several kits that I used reoccuringly that I just must give credit for:
Toy Story- Susan Darter of Raspberry Road Designs
For the Boys- Monika Digital Designs
A Boy Thing- Rose Made Designs
in His Pockets- Scrapalicious Cereal
Beloved- by Sarahh Graphics
All Boy - Sweet Blossom Designs
Boys2Men-SnowsMoons Designs
SYTYCD Week 1 (screws and Greens)- Studio Flergs
Red Hot Iron alpha- Ziggles Designs
When I Grow Up alpha- The Scrapping Sisters designs
Destination- Studio Rosey Posey
Urban Summer- Birgit Kerr
Nellie's Place - NumBumm
Vintage Alphabet Kit- Nearestore
Elegant Word Art by Bethany

Hope you enjoy my work! Leave me a comment please if you like what you see. This is my art and my therapy and my ME time, so it's nice to know when others appreciate my hard work. Thanks!
